Friendly visits, conversation, and simple activities for seniors who may feel isolated.
ABOUT USCatskill Neighbors, Inc. is a community based volunteer organization founded by Reverend Ralph Darmstadt of Fleischmanns, NY. We are a recognized NYS Domestic Not-for-Profit Corporation and a Tax Exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to help seniors wishing to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
As time goes by, families and friends often move on and are unable to provide emotional or material support for aging loved ones whose physical abilities or income may diminish. What happens then? Where does a person turn for help? There are government social service agencies which provide important aid, but sometimes simple everyday needs can be filled by individual caring volunteers. That's where Catskill Neighbors may be of assistance in offering friendship, companionship and a helping hand to local residents.
